The Minnesota Starvation Experiment

The Minnesota Starvation Experiment, I got the knowledge about the first clinical study of the effects of starvation on physical and mental functioning. War often causes widespread hunger. The purpose of study is how to deal with starving people in areas of Europe and Asia ruined by the war. The institute is the University of Minnesota. The participants of study are 40 healthy young men entered the Laboratory of Physiological Hygiene at the University of Minnesota. The study took place in three discrete stages. The first, the men felt well - fed and full of energy. They participated in university activities. Second, each now allocated less than half the calories he was used to consuming. They had less energy and felt weak mentally as well as physically. Finally, give them food. Their strength came back slowly, and they continued dizzy, confused, and irritable. I know that the psychological effects of food deprivation. Food deprivation has disadvantage for physically and mentally.
